Be positive! - My bestfriend

Hello all you lovely people,

So I thought I would start writing more blog posts about positive things in life, these could just be the little things that make life so much better. Since I am myself a human being, I strongly believe in trying to be positive at all times possible in everyday life. So I would like to take the time to write this blog post about something positive and something (someone) who helps me to stay me!

So my best friend her name is Sara and this girl is so much more than a best friend to me! We are like 1 person who were somehow split into 2 bodies and then were reunited together through fate, honestly. We live literally down the road from one another and we spend almost every second of every day together! It's great, and without her I wouldn't be half the person I am today. She has helped shaped me into who I want to be in life and steered me back on track anytime i forget who I am. We have so much in common, more in fact than I have than with anyone else I know! We even get told often that we sound the exact same!

Sara is just one of the people/things that help me stay positive everyday and without her there wouldn't be much to smile about. This is an example of how life can be fabulous, and there is so much to smile and be happy about! As i put at the end of most of my blog posts "keep smiling"! Because smiles make the world joyful and can make you feel so enriched with everything.

Stay tuned for my next blog post on another thing that makes my life great!

Keep Smiling and i'll talk to you soon! :-)

Love always,

The Society We Live In

Hello my lovely readers, once again thankyou for reading this and if you are new to my blog then, welcome!

So today I thought I'd leave you with something that I wrote and got quote into while writing to be honest. And it's about how we judge one another and how society judges one another and I just thought it might interest some of you! Please bare in mind that this is not a masterpiece, so if its not up to your standards please do not feel the need to scratch my eyes out. Thanks!

In a world where were taught not to judge or be mean; we may be the worst hypocrites. We judge people mentally by the way they dress and look as-though  its just a normal thought. It's like we look for flaws on others to make ourselves feel better? But to me this is just a fake excuse to bring others down. We are cobstantly struggling with a endless battle of stopping bullies who make others lives a living hell because their own definition of hell is their life. But is it fair to bring others down just because you think so negatively? I think not. These are just a few examples of everyday life throughout the world that makes me question the actions of the human race. It's as though we could all be blind and deaf oblivious to feelings and others. We are told to love our friends and family and that we do, but be cruel the enemy is not just.

So I hope you guys enjoyed that! And if you didn't hey that's okay too! If you did then great! Let me know what you thought by sending me a tweet at @courtneyshorter or you can email me at courtneysh0rter@yahoo.com!

Thankyou guys!
Hope you have a great week and remember to keep loving each other and smiling!

Always,
Courtney

Happy Mothers Day!

Hello Lovelies,

As you may, or may not know, today in New Zealand it is Mothers Day! Yes, that time of year when we treat our mothers as if they were Queens for a day whether this be by making them breakfast, buying them presents or doing all the dishes, or if their lucky all of the above.

I would like to talk about my own mother for a bit. My mum is not just a great mother but also a great friend and someone who i know that i can always trust and rely on, no matter what. She is the first person i turn to when i have problems or just need a talk. Just like all mother-daughter relationships we have our issues and ofcourse we have our little debates and disputes. My mother has practically raised me from birth all on her own, my parents got divorced when i was only around 5 and ever since i've been living full time with my mum and seeing my dad every second weekend.

Ofcourse my dad has also played a great part in my up bringing but i can honestly say nowhere near my mother. I feel that although me and my dad are close me and my mum are the closest. My mum has always given up alot for me, if i wasn't happy about something she would do her best to change it. My safety has always been her first priority, even if it was above hers. She has had to always keep and hide quite alot away from me, for example in terms of money we aren't rich we aren't well of even. There are alot of days leading up to pay day which i'm not going to lie are pretty depressing especially when my school lunches are normally so bog standard, but i'm not complaining. My mum always trys her best and I know that alot of the time she doesn't feel like it's good enough. But to me it is, even if she didn't try half as hard as she does I would still be one of the proudest daughters alive.

So i'd like to take this day to thank my mum, from the moment she popped me out the womb to where I am right now writing on this very computer on this very blog post.
Thankyou mum, I will always be your #1 fan and i will always love you.

Hope you all spoil your mother's today as you should do everyday of the year!
Keep on smiling,
Love always

I'm back - London experience!

Hello my fellow earthlings!

Well it's been quite a while hasn't it, but I feel I have a fairly good enough excuse to have not written in awhile. As you may (or may not) know, I was in London for two weeks with my bestfriend and her lovely family and I only got home around 3 days ago.

As you can probably imagine, it was one of the best experiences of my life. There is so much to do and see in London that you are completely overwhelmed and frankly you don't know where to start! We ha a list thankfully so we pretty much did everything there is to do in that fabulous city! Don't even get me start on the shopping, it was like nothing I've ever experienced before. Topshop, Zara, Victorias Secret, H&M and so much more! It's a girls dream come true to sum it all up.

There is so much history in England and it was incredible to get to discover and learn about some of that, from the Tower of London to Buckingham palace and the list goes on! It's probably the most historical place in the world since it dates back to some of the most important times in history and alot of it occurred there too. A huge eye opener was when we were on a tour bus and we drove down the street where the Plague was actually found so long ago, that just incredibly amazed me I couldn't believe it!

The shows in London were absolutely incredible, the west end! We went to see the popular Wicked and the classic Phantom of the Opera which I loved to bits! I must say I've discovered I'm a huge musical theatre fan! I think I've always been on in my heart but I just forgot about it through the years! The sound of music has always been one of my favourites!

So overall I loved London- More than that I was absorbed in it! One day I'd even love to live there and maybe even go to university there! Who know where the future will take me but ill keep my options open! I do have the ability to live there thankfully from my dads side of the family because he's actually English so that's a huge influence for me meaning I can lib there! So grateful for that one, thanks dad!

Ill post some photos below for you to have a look at and you can also see my numerous photos that I constantly posted and updated on my Instagram which is: courtneyshorter

Thankyou for reading!
Hope you have a great day and keep smiling!

Love always
